What we do

The appliances we haul away

Large and small, from the kitchen, the laundry room, the basement or the garage.

Refrigerators and freezers

Full-size and side-by-side refrigerators, chest and upright freezers, and spare garage fridges. Please empty them first; we tape the doors shut so they cannot swing open on the way out.

Washers and dryers

Top-load and front-load washers, electric and gas dryers. Water hoses and any gas line need to be disconnected before we come; we unplug the machine and take it from there.

Ranges and dishwashers

Freestanding ranges and dishwashers, once any gas, water or hard-wired electrical connection has been undone by you, your plumber or your electrician.

Window AC units and small appliances

Window air conditioners, dehumidifiers, microwaves and other small appliances, added to the same load as the larger pieces.

How we work

We check how the appliance gets out before we quote it

You send a photo, we send a price

Text a photo of the appliance and tell us where it is, whether kitchen, laundry room, basement or garage, and how many steps lie between it and the door. We give you a price from that, agreed before the crew starts.

You or your plumber disconnect it, we unplug it

We do not undo water, gas or hard-wired electrical connections. If a washer, dishwasher or gas range is still hooked up, have it disconnected and capped before we arrive; on the day, we unplug the appliance and pull it out from its spot.

We carry it out with your floors in mind

A refrigerator or a washer is heavy enough to dent a floor or chip a door frame. We move it on a dolly, take doorways and steps slowly, and load it on our truck.

Why homeowners choose us

Why people call Ace Junk Removal for old appliances

An appliance is often the heaviest single thing a home gets rid of, and the hardest to get through a door.

  • Your price is set before we lift a thing
  • We do the lifting, the stairs and the loading
  • Clear about what we disconnect: we unplug, nothing more
  • Doorways, steps and floors taken slowly and with care
  • Nothing left at the curb: it all leaves on our truck
  • Our crew is out Monday through Saturday, 8 AM–6 PM

How we price appliance removal

Appliance removal is priced by the job, from a photo or a description of what is going and where it sits. You get the number before we start, and that is the price unless you add more items.

Always included

  • Unplugging the appliance and pulling it out from its spot
  • Carrying it out of the house, stairs included
  • Loading it all and hauling it away

What changes the number

  • How many appliances there are, and how large
  • Weight, such as a side-by-side refrigerator or a chest freezer
  • Basement or upstairs laundry rooms, steps and the distance to the truck

Appliance removal questions

Have a question about a load that isn't covered here? Call or text (678) 735-5481 and tell us what you're trying to get rid of.

Do you disconnect the water and gas lines?

No. We unplug the appliance and nothing more. Water lines, gas lines and hard-wired electrical connections have to be disconnected and capped by you, your plumber or your electrician before we arrive, so the appliance is free to move when the crew gets there.

Does the refrigerator need to be empty?

Yes. Please empty it and take out any loose shelves you want to keep, since a full fridge is much heavier and can spill on the way out. Defrosting a freezer the day before keeps meltwater off your floor.

Can you take an appliance out of the basement?

Yes, and we carry it up the stairs ourselves. Basement stairs are often steep and narrow, which is why stairs change the price; mention them when you text the photo and the quote will already include them.
